Our company is deeply rooted in the south of Sicily, where for over three hundred years our family has cultivated and cared for the land around us. Now in our sixth generation, we’ve learned an invaluable lesson: to honor our roots. They keep us grounded in the values that have shaped our growth and guided our evolution, always respectful of tradition yet open to the new. What are these values? Simplicity, respect, determination, courage, sharing, and a profound love for all things good and beautiful.
With our centuries-old experience, we cultivate and process fine grapes such as Nero d’Avola and Moscato, bringing out the unique qualities of this part of Sicily. But there’s more: we’ve also revived a “relic” grape variety, Lucignola. What is a relic variety? It’s a type of grape that, due to cultivation challenges or shifting tastes, disappeared from production. We chose to bring this grape back to life, and it has rewarded us with a uniquely vibrant ruby-red wine.
Our vines grow at the 36th parallel, the same latitude as Tunis, between the Mediterranean and the Ionian Seas, in Italy’s far southeastern tip. Our soils, 70 meters above sea level, are medium-textured with a strong presence of limestone rock, which imparts distinctive aromas and colors to our grapes. The light here is intense, almost African—beautiful and ideal for enhancing photosynthesis and ripening the fruit.
We wanted to express Sicilian hospitality through muralism. Murals do not hide behind commercial motives: just look up, and the spectacle is there for all to see. The works of young artists have quickly become symbols of our identity, and we decided to extend this partnership to our labels. Now our walls are open to young artists who share our philosophy and wish to enrich this land we love with their creativity.
Get ready to escape the outside world. Once you cross the threshold of our estate, where we will welcome you, we’ll take you to explore our native vineyards, discovering the terroir and our cultivation methods. After taking in the unique light of this part of Eastern Sicily, we’ll head to the cellar to observe our grape processing and winemaking methods.
From the cellar, we’ll move to the historic atmosphere of the baglio or to the unique vineyard-view terrace, where you’ll taste our wines, each paired with a specific dish based on local ingredients to enhance the aromas and flavors of both.
