The wines

Two emblematic grape varieties, expressed through four appellations, tell the story of our winemaking identity. Nero d’Avola and Moscato have one of their historical cradles here and embody the enological soul of this territory. DOC Noto, DOC Eloro, DOC Siracusa and IGP Avola each preserve distinct styles and landscapes within the same Mediterranean heritage.

The Grape Varieties

Moscato bianco

Unique in aroma and sweetness within the great Moscato family, the Moscato Bianco grown in south-eastern Sicily is the direct heir of Pollio, the celebrated nectar loved by the Greek founders of Syracuse.

Nero d’Avola

The most famous of Sicilian grape varieties originates right here, in the Val di Noto area. And it is here that it still finds its highest expression, thanks to the many wineries that entrust it with representing the soul of this land.

The Appellations

DOC Siracusa, DOC Noto, DOC Eloro and IGP Avola are all contained within the territory of the Strada del Vino Val di Noto, like pieces of a quality mosaic united by the same remarkable winemaking history.

DOC Noto

Iblean hills and Mediterranean elegance: here the traditions of Nero d’Avola and Moscato coexist.

DOC Eloro

The coastal strip between Noto, Pachino, Ispica and Portopalo: character, savouriness and a long-standing vocation for red wines.

DOC Siracusa

The cradle of Moscato di Siracusa: an ancient story that today embraces modern styles and warm winery hospitality.

IGP Avola

A broader framework that enhances the identity of the territory with greater stylistic freedom and interpretative range.
