Founded in 2000 in Siracusa, following an ancient family tradition dating back to 1793, Cantine Gulino is located in the southern area of Siracusa, in Contrada Fanusa, between the city and the coast, close to the Plemmirio Natural Reserve and the seaside resorts of Fontane Bianche and Arenella. Immersed in the vineyards and surrounded by a lush garden, the winery is housed in an old farmhouse that once belonged to the architect Pompeo Picherali, where an ancient 17th-century wine press is kept, built entirely of local limestone from the nearby quarries. Dedicated to the recovery and promotion of the historic native vines of Siracusa (Nero d'Avola, Moscato di Siracusa and Albanello), the company has 15 hectares of vineyards, cultivates Sicilian and international vines (Inzolia, Syrah, Chardonnay) and produces about 80,000 bottles a year under ten labels of white, sweet, red and rosé wines.
Cantine Gulino has been dedicated for generations to the production of high quality wines that fully represent the Sicilian territory and its ancient traditions. Throughout the year, the winery offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy a variety of unique and engaging experiences that allow them to get to know the winery and its production, get closer to the Sicilian winemaking tradition, discover the historical origins and characteristics of local grape varieties, and taste typical local cuisine paired with the winery's wines:
