
Our vineyard dates back to 1920 and became wine in 1984. It is a small company distributed in 6 districts located in the most suited of the territory. Conduction is direct and friendly, with passion, dedication and years of experience we have produced quality wines win various national and international awards. We chose to produce wines from agriculture often understood as a natural organic wines that bear the name of the area because they're territory! Deliver maximum satisfaction to bottle the fruit of our work. Who said anything about us, has always said that we are the genuine Sicily ! PRODUCTION “combination of history, tradition and work”. Practice natural farming throughout our vineyard because we want to respect nature and do not pollute the environment. The productions are checked and certified Bioagricert., which represents the best public facility accredited certification. When necessary, we take care of the vine with the use of natural products, without exaggeration, deliberately restricting production in favor of quality.
Riofavara Winery offers three comfortable suites inspired by the themes of wine, vine, grape, and wellness products. There are two SUPERIOR suites (40 sqm each) and one CLASSIC suite (30 sqm), all equipped with king-size beds, en-suite bathrooms, tasting cellars, and numerous services and amenities for a high-quality stay.
The Classic suite overlooks the vineyard, while the two Superior suites boast panoramic views of the Convent of Gesù, the Carmine promontory, and the entrance canyon of Cava d’Ispica, which is located about 800 meters away. The courtyard separating the two Superior suites opens onto a garden of aromatic and medicinal plants, where breakfast is served during spring and summer.
The relais features a large terrace, part of which is used as a solarium, and the other as a relaxation area. Riofavara is located within the DOC SICILIA, DOC ELORO, and DOC NOTO wine regions (part of the Val di Noto Wine Route).
Alongside a careful selection of our wines, guests can enjoy a variety of local tasting experiences, featuring regional specialties chosen from the best artisans or freshly prepared by us according to seasonality and market availability, in perfect harmony with the environment and the territory.
The tasting experience is a journey of Tradition, Research, and Biodiversity, which defines every aspect of Riofavara — from the vineyards of our crus to the heritage vineyard that surrounds the cellar and barrel room, culminating in wine tastings paired with typical products from the estate and the region, complemented by our own olive oil.
